After Lipo-Sculpting

You will be required to wear a compression garment or wrap for a specific amount of time depending on your surgery. Your garment or wrap should be snug but not too tight. . There may be a gauze dressing under your garment or wrap. You may change the gauze pad as necessary. The garment or wrap should be worn as instructed for the part of the body that the procedure was performed.  These instructions will be handed to you and discussed before and after your surgery.  Please follow your instructions carefully.  How you take care of your body will effect your results.  At some point after your surgery, you will be instructed to message the area.  Our office may can also refer you to a message therapist to help you with this process.

Although your recovery time and pain is minimal, you may experience some bruising and swelling, which will begin to decrease around the third or fourth day.   You will need a few days of rest, and your pain can easily be managed by over the counter or, if necessary, prescribed pain medication.  

Do not take aspirin or aspirin-containing products for two weeks after surgery.

Make-up can be worn (except over the incisions) in 5-7 days.

Severe pain or swelling, particularly if much greater on one side, could be a sign of a problem, call us if this occurs.
